Hi Colin

Long time!
Just visited the old site (where I'm still a moderator!)
Can't figure out how to send you a private message, so figured I'd post on here - it's On Topic anyway ("New Pilots")
Colin, I've been getting back into the saddle (i.e. pilot's seat) lately:
- PPL(A) revalidated on Piper Warriors this month
- In the middle of an aerobatics course on a Pitts, complete with Fighter Combat training lesson !
- 1 year ago started up a hovercraft business:
www.hovpodsurrey.com is me - still flying, but only 9 inches from the floor

- My Hirobo Shuttle (all those years ago, Colin!) continues to sit on my bedroom floor, unflown for a couple of years)
- My Piccolo Pro continues uncomplete since the crash a few years ago
This month, a couple of new developments:
- Been getting into RC Fixed Wing - bought Firebird Phantom (it broke took it back - I want ailerons)
- Bought an Aerobird Swift (which has ailerons) which is actually quite nice
- Today, when I took back my Phantom, bought a Parkfun Fusion which is 4 channels (all the control surfaces as you'd want)
Anyway, onto electric helis:
- Was going to fix up my Piccolo - but Piccolos seems to be out of the picture these days, what happened?
- Instead, I see others have sprung up - and have been looking at the TRex 450 SE v2. Noticed from your sig that you have a TRex? Might just go and buy one of those.
- Noticed a plethora of other electric helis
Popped back to Helifever earlier this week, just to check in (I check in once a year !!)
Logged back in just now to look you up, and discovered HeliWolves, so immediately joined and am writing this post

So here I am, primarily to catch up on the world of electric helis
and secondarily to catch up with you and say Hi (drop me an email - my email's in my profile)
Darren
- Hirobo Shuttle (unflown, but still works !)
- Piccolo - flown, crashed, waiting to be fixed - what to do with it?
- PicooZ - of course, I had to try one !
- Various hovering and flying contraptions from my local Toys R Us - e.g. XTreme. But really, not very thrilling nor challenging
- and a Hov Pod, an exclusive luxury personal leisure hovercraft
